sex and the city

Guys, what do some men have the problem with this movie? It is simply girl fluff and clothes.

Some of us girls don't get the monster truck, arm-chair sportsman, golf watching beer drinking thing- so why cant we have our 'stuff' without guilt?

any comments would be great!

I think it's just mostly what goes around comes around. Essentially for years, we men have had to endure being "lectured" by women that "our" movies are too violent, and/or contain too much gratuitous sex/nudity, stupidity etc. etc. etc. Then when a movie targetted at women comes out, gets seriously hyped by the media, and is full of behaviour that we men don't consider very endearing (eg. golddigging, treating men as meat, materialism) is it any wonder some guys feel like it's their turn to speak out?

Personally, I couldn't care less, and have watched the SATC show from time to time and usually just felt sorry for those severely messed up women. Every now and then there's a good laugh in there though. If women want to watch that crap, then by all means go ahead and enjoy. But don't give us flack for watching and enjoying The Three Stooges for example. ;)

I went to see SATC with my wife and I loved it. Laughed a lot and really enjoyed watching the beautiful women in their great clothes. My wife thought the movie was a bit long. I especially liked the part when Charlotte glared at Mr. Big as she tried to trot away in her tight dress. That alone was worth the price of admission
